The piciture above shows the insulin curves for those who take 2 shots per day. Combinations may include NPH/Lente/Ultralente with either Regular or Humalog or novolog before breakfast and before dinner.

The picture above shows the insulin curves for those who take 3 shots per day. Combinations may include NPH/Lente/Ultralente and Regular or Humalog or Novolog before breakfast, Regular or Humalog or Novolog before dinner, and NPH/Lente/Ultralente at bedtime.

The picture above shows the insulin curves for those who take Humalog or Novolog before meals and carbohydrate snacks and glargine (lantus) at bedtime
